A BIT OF HISTORY
42, A GLOBAL NETWORK
42 has created the world’s largest network of free, innovative, and open-to-all computer science schools, accessible from the age of 18 without any diploma requirements.
All 42 campuses share the same set of practices and values. They all use the same selection process and a common core training program. As a result, regardless of the campus, students are guaranteed a high-quality education.
We are proud that 42 Le Havre is the 7th French campus, alongside Paris, Lyon, Nice, Mulhouse, Angoulême, and Perpignan. One of the 48 campuses worldwide!
THE GENESIS OF 42 LE HAVRE
The implementation project of Campus 42 in Le Havre dates back to 2021. It was initially led by Le Havre Seine Métropole and private economic actors.
The establishment of Campus 42 in Le Havre is part of the higher education development strategy in the region, notably addressing the needs for IT/digital skills in companies of the sector as well as other sectors of activity. This is a project made by companies for companies.
AN EXCEPTIONAL PLACE
42 le havre in the heart of the cité numérique
Located between basins and sea, in the heart of the Le Havre-Normandie Campus, 42 Le Havre is situated at the Numeric City, an emblematic place and a symbol of innovation. A true 36-meter tall signal with daring architecture, the Numeric City is at the center of the downtown campus, at the crossroads of higher education and research, as well as at the interface of the port and the economic fabric: a whole symbol for this place of exchanges, training, business growth, and project development in the field of innovation and digital.
In this building where the École de Management de Normandie (EM Normandie – Business School) is also located, the new facility builds bridges between private actors, public institutions, the scientific world, entrepreneurship, and academia.
Open to all to facilitate the emergence of innovative projects. It thus contributes to the creation of the intelligent territory of tomorrow, smoother, dynamic, attractive, responsible, and sustainable.
Near the train station and the tramway, the campus is easily accessible for free or at a reduced rate.

The main missions of 42 Le Havre are simple:
To enable as many people as possible to access high-level training in computer programming, regardless of gender, age, background, and original environment of the candidates.
To meet the needs for IT/digital skills of the businesses in the region by providing them with a new pool of creative coders with diverse profiles.

42 LE HAVRE
MORE THAN A FORMATION
Starting the day with a state-of-the-art and ultra-powerful PC. Working on solving a project. Participating in an event. Gaining valuable contacts for networking. Forming friendships with other people working on the same project. Finding a solution to a problem while playing a video game. Implementing a new method before heading out in the evening. Reconnecting with fellow classmates from the Piscine (intensive training period). And starting it all over again the next day. This is the daily life of students at 42.

A WORD FROM...
ALEXANDRA BRICOUT, DIRECTOR OF 42 LE HAVRE
42 is the first excellence training program in computer science, completely free, and we are proud to offer you this curriculum in Le Havre.
Whether you are a high school graduate, a student, or a career changer looking for employment, with or without a high school diploma? You can join 42, regardless of your status and age.
The method ? No classes or professors to allow you to unleash your creativity in this curriculum built 100% around projects.
Group work ? In the traditional education system, learning is mostly individual. At 42, it’s completely the opposite. Getting closer to other students is the guarantee of multiplying good ideas. Collaboration will be essential to succeed in your curriculum. And that’s perfect since all companies specify that they are looking for this quality.
The pace ? Feel comfortable, you validate your projects during your curriculum, at your own pace.
Diversity and inclusion ? 42 has become an international reference in terms of inclusion and equal opportunities. 42 is ranked #1 in terms of ethical values and #8 in the top 100 innovative global universities (World Universities With Real Impact / WURI ranking).
And it works: 42 has trained thousands of students worldwide, and all of them have a job upon graduation! The concept is recognized, recruiters widely endorse it. Normandy companies are already excited to welcome you for internships at the end of the first year.
All of this wouldn’t be complete without mentioning that digital transformation is the key challenge to overcome in our society, as 85% of jobs don’t exist yet in tomorrow’s world.
And that’s where the strength and foresight of the 42 school lie! Applying to 42 Le Havre, it’s an opportunity for you to meet numerous professionals during your curriculum and later pursue exciting and future-oriented careers.
